Chocolate Applesauce Cake
Chocolate Applesauce Cake may not sound great, but it is a delicious moist cake.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp cocoa
- 2 cups flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups applesauce
- 1 6 oz pkg chocolate chips
Instructions
- Cream shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar.
- Add eggs, then add next five ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Add applesauce and chocolate chips, mix.
- Pour into greased 8 x 12" pan.
- Bake for 40 minutes at 350℉
