Cream Cheese Pound Cake
Very interesting cake, popular to take to gatherings.
Ingredients
- 3 sticks butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 8 ozs cream cheese
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups all purpose flour
Instructions
- Cream butter, sugar and cheese about 5 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
- Beat until very fluffy.
- Add vanilla, add salt and flour gradually.
- Mix only until well blended.
- Put in a well greased and floured tube pan.
- Bake at 325℉ until test done about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- If you feel the cake is browning too fast, lower the temp.
